"With Shellcatch we have implemented monitoring activities for coastal marine protected areas, a subject with which we have generated many important contacts. For all these reasons, in all confidence, I would recommend Shellcatch to my peers or other organizations"

We record all the different species
that fishers bring back from the sea, including their weight. And here fishers also have a chance to sell their products to end-consumers. They very much value the App developed by Shellcatch, and they are eager to use it, because it is much easier to report fishing activities day by day.
We believe that this traceability project is of utmost importance, not only for the region, not only for us, but for fishing throughout Chile. We believe that artisanal fishing needs tools to demonstrate the origin of its products, can reach sustainability and provide an added value.

The eReporting App will make a tremendous difference to us, Fisheries Officials, as well as facilitating our work at the laboratory, benefiting the environment, and mostly benefiting fishers, who are at the center of all this initiative.
The Traceability and Commercial Accompaniment Program allows all artisanal fishers to obtain the same income we are now having, but with the difference of fishing fewer resources. Therefore, that's what sustainability is about. It is the future, and I invite you to participate, with confidence. These are giant steps towards a sustainable and socioeconomic development to improve the quality of life in our fishing coves.
The eReporting App will help fishers report their daily statistics; and these statistics will reach our database much more easily and quickly, which is what we expect from this process, so that we can better control fish and seafood landings.
